Administrative Review of Marijuana Facility License Applications

Memorandum

I am forwarding the attached draft resolution establishing a competitive process for selecting applicants for a city marijuana license that is required under state statute due to the limitations the City has imposed on the numbers of facilities to be licensed.  Per discussion with the City Attorney’s Office, this process does not have to be in place by November 1^st to allow the licensing of facilities as the City has not yet reached the limitations that Council has enacted.  Our intent is to consider and address any feedback we receive and formally present the resolution to Council for deliberation and potential adoption at the November 4^th or next feasible City Council meeting.
