Memorandum
Your approval is requested to levy road improvement charges totaling $1,283.85 on the property known as 685 S. Wagner Rd. This parcel was annexed in 2016.

City of Ann Arbor Code section 1:279, Chapter 12, requires the property owner to pay the property's share of the local public improvements through the City Improvement charge. The $1,283.85 Road Improvement Charge is to be levied and then made payable in 2 annual installments and will accrue interest at 3.59823% per annum on the unpaid balance.

Wagner Road improvements were completed in 2007.

It is therefore recommended that Council levy this Improvement charge according to the terms described above.

Whereas, The City completed road improvements in 2007 located on Wagner Road;

Whereas, The property at 685 S. Wagner Road annexed into the City of Ann Arbor on December 21, 2016, as notified by the State of Michigan;

Whereas, Improvement charges for the Wagner Road improvements completed in 2007 are due: $1,043.78 (Historical Charge) * 1.23 (Cost Forwarding) = $1,283.85 due; and

Whereas, Pursuant to Section 1:279, Chapter 12, of the Code of the City of Ann Arbor, the fair share of the cost of said improvement is levied against certain properties and the fair share for this property has not been previously paid;

RESOLVED, That Council levy an improvement charge against the following property that is specifically benefited by the above improvements:

City Assessor Code: 09-08-25-301-007

LOT 9 KILLINS LAKEVIEW SUBDIVISION

RESOLVED, That the full improvement charge levied is $1,283.85;

RESOLVED, That this improvement charge be divided into 2 equal installments...
