Resolution to Appoint Anan Ameri to the Independent Community Police Oversight Commission (ICPOC)

This appointment fills a vacancy created when Commissioner Moore resigned from the Independent Community Police Oversight Commission (ICPOC) on May 28, 2019.
Body
Whereas, City Code requires the City Councilmembers serving on the Human Rights Commission (HRC) and Independent Community Police Oversight Commission (ICPOC) to nominate members to the Independent Community Police Oversight Commission;
Whereas, there is currently a vacant position on the Independent Community Police Oversight Commission (ICPOC) due to the resignation of Kerene Moore;
Whereas, City Councilmembers serving on the Human Rights Commission (HRC) and Independent Community Police Oversight Commission (ICPOC) reviewed applicants and selected Anan Ameri as their choice to serve on the Independent Community Police Oversight Commission (ICPOC); and
Whereas, Anan Ameri applied to serve on the Independent Community Police Oversight Commission (ICPOC) during the initial recruitment phase and still desires to serve on the commission;
RESOLVED, That the City Council accept the resignation of Kerene Moore and make the following appointment:
Independent Community Police Oversight Commission
Anan Ameri - Filling remaining term of Kerene Moore (Resigned)
