Resolution Recognizing the Service of Interim Police Chief Robert Pfannes
Memorandum
Robert Pfannes has served with the Ann Arbor community with distinction for more than twenty-one years in the roles of Officer, Sergeant, Lieutenant, Deputy Chief and Interim Police Chief. His service has been punctuated by awards for community service and excellence, and he filled a critical need as the Interim Chief over the past year, notably during the development of the Independent Community Police Oversight Commission. Interim Chief Pfannes has announced his retirement as of May 24th, 2019. In recognition of his years of dedicated service, the City Council wishes to bestow upon him the title of Chief, for the period of his service as the Interim Chief from April 2018 through the date of his upcoming retirement in May 2019.
Budget/Fiscal Impact: This action has no fiscal impact.
