Title

Resolution to Approve Schedule 30 to the Interagency Agreement for Collaborative Technology and Services for a Merit Networks Shared Internet Connection with Washtenaw County and the Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority (AAATA) ($38,743.34 over a 6-year period)

Memorandum

Attached for your review and approval is a resolution authorizing the approval of Schedule 30.  This schedule is effective August 1, 2017 due to a lapse in the renewal of the previous Schedule 19. Schedule 30 is a six-year commitment to provide equally shared internet access for the City of Ann Arbor, Washtenaw County, and the AAATA.

Fiscal/Budget Impact:  The City’s portion of the internet connection are/will be planned and budgeted for in the FY18 - FY23 Information Technology Services Budget.

This agreement allows for collaboration and cost sharing and eliminates the need for individual internet connections. The previous internet access rate under Schedule 19 was 200Mbps and the new access rate is 500 Mbps. The additional rate is needed due to the continued need for internet capacity.  The city’s previous annual payment for the 200 Mbps access rate was $4,760.00.

The City will be invoiced by the County as follows:

FY 2018: $4,760.00

FY 2019: $6,863.34

FY 2020: $6,780.00

FY 2021: $6,780.00

FY 2022: $6,780.00

FY 2023: $6,780.00
