Resolution to Close Spring Street between Miller and Cherry on Sunday, May 5, 2019 for the Water Hill MusicFest Continued Special Event

Memorandum

Attached for your consideration is a resolution to approve the closing of Spring Street between Miller and Cherry for the Water Hill MusicFest Continued special event.  The event will close the street from 11:00 AM until 6:00 PM.  The actual event will run from Noon until 5:00 PM, with the additional time for set-up and clean-up.  The applicant, Big City Bakery, is using this occasion to continue the Water Hill MusicFest as a special event.  Music will be played in the area during this time.

 

The applicant, Big City Bakery, agrees to obtain all necessary permits, to provide evidence of proper liability insurance as required, to comply with all City regulations governing the use of the street and will reimburse the City for all event expenses.

 

The applicant is currently notifying businesses and residents in the impacted area of this event.  Notification of the street closing will also be provided through the City’s website and electronic notification via GovDelivery.

Whereas, The City has received a request from Big City Bakery to close Spring Street between Miller and Cherry from 11:00 AM until 6:00 PM on Sunday, May 5, 2019 for the Water Hill MusicFest Continued special event;

 

Whereas, The applicant agrees to obtain all necessary permits, to provide evidence of proper liability insurance as required, to comply with all City regulations governing the use of the street and will reimburse the City for all event expenses; and

 

Whereas, Notification of the street closing will be provided through the City’s website, electronic notification via GovDelivery, and the applicant will make direct contact with all affected businesses and any impacted residents within the closure;

 

RESOLVED, That City Council approves the closing of Spring Street between Miller and Cherry from 11:00 AM until 6:00 PM on Sunday, May 5, 2019 for the Water Hill MusicFest Continued special event.
