Title
Resolution to Approve an Increase to the Purchase Order with Badger Meter Inc. for the Purchase of Water Meters in the Amount of $50,442.00 for a total approved purchase of $75,000.00
Memorandum
Attached for your approval is a resolution authorizing an increase of $50,442.00 to the existing purchase order with Badger Meter Inc. for the purchase of water meters.

The City is currently working on contracts for the Water Meter Replacement Program to replace 26,650 water meters and meter transmission units throughout the City. As part of that project, the City issued RFP No. 18-27, which included the selection of water meters to be installed.

The City received 5 proposals on October 18, 2018. Badger E-Series water meters were selected as part of the proposal submitted by Aclara Technologies LLC. These meters provided the lowest total cost to the City. Program services will be contracted under separate agreements with Aclara Technologies LLC and Utility Metering Solutions LLC.

The City has exhausted its existing meter stock and now must purchase a small inventory to keep on hand to replace failed meters until the project, if approved, begins.

Badger Meter Inc. complies with the requirements of the City's Non-Discrimination ordinance.

Budget Impact: Funding is available in the approved FY19 Water Supply System Operations and Maintenance budget.
