Title
Resolution to Approve an Agreement for Occupational Health Services with Michigan Urgent Care, PC
Memorandum
Approval is requested for the Agreement with Michigan Urgent Care, PC for Occupational Health Services ("Agreement"). City Service Units will use Occupational Health Services under the Agreement to provide pre-employment drug testing and physical requirements testing, DOT random and post-accident drug testing, and worker's compensation medical treatment. Each Service Unit is required to use Michigan Urgent Care pursuant to the terms of the Agreement and subject to the availability of funds within their unit / department budget.

This Agreement is presently needed to provide critical testing and treatment services. The Agreement gives the City the option to renew the agreement for two additional two-year periods.

Prior to selection of Michigan Urgent Care, PC, the City issued RFP 18-30. Two companies responded to the RFP. Michigan Urgent Care was chosen because they are based in Ann Arbor and offer extended hours for our current and prospective employees, the meet the City's needs in terms of Occupational services, and we received positive feedback from their reference checks.

Michigan Urgent Care, PC complies with the City's non-discrimination and living wage ordinances.

Budget/Fiscal Impact: Through the Agreement, Michigan Urgent Care, PC has agreed to a certain fee schedule for Occupational Health Services through December 31, 2021 and subsequent renewals. To the extent that individual Service Units and Departments require such services, they must use Michigan Urgent Care, PC but only to the extent they have budgeted for such expense. Each Service Unit and Department is responsible to budget for such costs in the relevant fiscal year.

The Human Resource Department recommends approval of this Agreement.
