Title

Resolution to Approve the 715 Heather Way Annexation, 0.52 Acres, (CPC Recommendation:  Approval - 8 Yeas and 0 Nays)

Memorandum

Approval of this resolution will allow annexation of this property from Ann Arbor Charter Township into the City.  The property is within the City’s water and sewer service area, and the current use is consistent with the adjacent zoning, land uses and master plan.  Council action on the proposed R1A (Single-Family Dwelling District) zoning will be scheduled after the annexation process is complete.

 

The City Planning Commission, at its meeting of October 16, 2018, recommended approval of the request.

 

A scrivener’s error, noted by the Michigan Department of Transportation in a letter March 4, 2019, was corrected on April 1, 2019.

Whereas, The territory hereinafter described is located in the Township of Ann Arbor and is adjacent to the corporate limits of the City of Ann Arbor;

 

Whereas, Hayg and Georgi-Ann Oshagan are the owners of said property; and

 

Whereas, It is the desire of Hayg and Georgi-Ann Oshagan to annex said territory to the City of Ann Arbor, pursuant to the provisions of Public Act 279 of 1909 or Public Act 359 of 1947 of the State of Michigan, as amended;

 

RESOLVED, That the following described lands and premises situated and being in the Township of Ann Arbor, Washtenaw County, Michigan, be detached from said Township and annexed to the City of Ann Arbor, to-wit:

 

Commencing at the Northeast corner of Section 34, Town 2 South, Range 6 East, Ann Arbor Township, Washtenaw County, Michigan; thence along the North line of said Section 34, South 88 degrees 53 minutes 30 seconds West 1301.5 feet for a place of beginning; thence South 3 degrees 35 minutes East 231.0 feet; thence North 71 degrees 45 minutes West 199.55 feet to the center line of Heather Way; thence along centerline North 18 degrees 48 minutes 30 seconds East 175.0 feet to the centerline of Geddes Avenue; thence along said centerline North 88 degrees 53 minutes 30 seconds East 118.80 feet to the place of beginning, being a part of the Northeast quarter of said Section 34, excepting therefrom the lands conveyed to William J. Conlin and Ellen A. Conlin, husband and wife, by a conveyance recorded in Liber 864 of Records, Page 592.
