Memorandum
Attached for your review and approval, please find a resolution to authorize a one-year extension of a unit-price contract (ITB No. 4476) with Scodeller Construction, Inc., to add $200,000.00 for the work of Street Crack Treatment Project-FY2019, which involves sealing cracks on various major and "local" in the City.

As background, the City awarded Scodeller Construction, Inc. the contract at issue for the Street Crack Treatment Project-FY2017. The contract is a unit price contract and contemplates that quantities used in construction may vary. The contract allows for a one-year extension for fiscal year 2019, to allow for additional work, and City staff recommends exercising this option.

The current schedule is for work to begin in mid-August, 2018 and reach completion by June 30, 2019. As part of the project, Scodeller Construction, Inc. will provide an exact schedule, as required to coordinate with planned City and other events, such as Art Fair, Michigan home football games, holidays, and other construction projects.
