Memorandum
Attached for your review and consideration for approval, please find a resolution to authorize the award of a Professional Services Agreement with Professional Service Industries, Inc. (PSI) for construction materials testing services in the amount of $61,780.00 for the 2018 Street Resurfacing project.

This project includes the planned resurfacing of approximately five miles of streets throughout the City of Ann Arbor including three (3) major streets, thirteen (13) local streets, and approximately 7,900 feet of shared use asphalt path. The construction is scheduled for May through October 2018.

Six firms submitted proposals for the required construction materials testing services. Staff evaluated the proposals and selected PSI based on their proposal, staff qualifications, past involvement with similar projects, and cost. PSI complies with the City of Ann Arbor Non-Discrimination and Living Wage Ordinances.

Services to be performed include all the required testing for soils, aggregates, asphalt, and concrete. Funds for the requested services are available in the 2018 Street Resurfacing project.
