Title
Resolution to Approve the Purchase of Heavy Equipment/Truck Tires and Tire Repair Services from Shrader Tire & Oil (MiDeal; Not To Exceed $125,000.00)
Memorandum
The attached resolution authorizes the purchase of heavy equipment/truck tires and tire repair services in an amount not to exceed $125,000.00 from Shrader Tire & Oil as an authorized dealer under the State of Michigan MiDeal cooperative purchasing contract #071B6600042.

All authorized Michelin tire dealers in Michigan that signed Dealer Agreements with the State of Michigan are approved vendors under the MiDeal Contract. The contract covers multiple brands of tires including Michelin, BFGoodrich and Uniroyal.

MiDeal contract #071B6600042 expires on March 31, 2019, so authorization to purchase under this contract is requested for the remainder of FY18 and throughout FY19 until the contract's expiration date, subject to the availability of funding in FY19.

The Fleet and Facilities Unit spends approximately $125,000.00 annually on heavy equipment/truck tires and tire repair services to maintain the City Fleet. The City has previously purchased replacement tires and repair services from Shrader Tire & Oil and found they stock a wide variety of tires and offer timely service and delivery.

Shrader Tire & Oil complies with the requirements of the City's conflict of interest and Non-Discrimination Ordinances.

Adequate funding for the purchase of replacement parts has been budgeted in the approved FY18 Fleet Services Operations and Maintenance Budget.
