Memorandum
Attached for your review and consideration for approval is a resolution authorizing up to $115,000 for the purchase of bituminous patching materials with Cadillac Asphalt, LLC.

The bid was advertised on the City's Website and on the Michigan Inter-governmental Trade Network (MITN) website. Two (2) bids were received and publically opened on August 10, 2017. Cadillac Asphalt, LLC was determined to be the lowest responsible bidder for UPM high-performance asphalt cold mix and Durapatch cold applied instant asphalt repair materials.

The recommended purchase order to Cadillac Asphalt, LLC for bituminous patching materials are for normal maintenance activities such as temporary utility trench repair, pothole patching and miscellaneous street repairs.

Budget Impact:
Funding is available in the approved FY18 Operations and Maintenance budgets of the Major and Local Street Funds, Water Supply System Fund, Sewage Disposal System Fund, and the Stormwater Sewer System Fund and will be available in subsequent annual budgets if approved by Council.

Cadillac Asphalt, LLC complies with the City's Non-Discrimination and Living Wage ordinances.

This agreement is for August 10, 2017 through August 9, 2019 and may be extended for up to one (1) year, subject to the agreement of both parties and subject to the annual appropriation of funds.
