Memorandum
This easement is required for the Steere Farm Well Engine Replacement Project, which is included in the Council-approved Capital Improvement Plan for FY17.
The Steere Farm Well Field is located on the Ann Arbor Airport property. This easement will allow DTE to run underground electrical service to the Steere Farm wells to allow replacement of the old natural gas well engines with electric motors.

The City Airport Manager and Public Services Area have reviewed the easement.

RESOLVED, That the City of Ann Arbor hereby approves a grant of easement to DTE Electrical Company for the construction and maintenance of electrical utility service at the Ann Arbor Airport, described as follows:

Land in Pittsfield Township, part of the southeast 1/4 of Section 17 & the west 1/2 of Section 16: (Town 3 South, Range 6 East), Washtenaw County, Michigan;
Commencing at the Southeast Corner of Section 17, thence along the east line of Section 17, N.01?26'18"W., 2464.59 feet to the Point of Beginning, said point being S.01?26'18"E., 201.00 feet from the East 1/4 Corner of Section 17; thence along the centerline of a 15-foot wide easement, N.71?14'08"E., 870.32 feet to the west right-of-way of South State Street (66-foot wide), and the Easterly Point of Ending. Also including land extending from the aforementioned Point of Beginning, a 15-foot wide easement with the following centerline: S.71?14'08"W., 304.44 feet; thence S.05?33'16"W., 178.08 feet to the Southwesterly Point of Ending, containing 0.466 acres (both east & west portions), more or less. Subject to easements, rights of way, restrictions of record; and
