Memorandum
Attached for your review and approval is a resolution for the purchase of bituminous paving material from Cadillac Asphalt, LLC. Bituminous paving material is used by City forces in normal maintenance and repair tasks. A number of different types of bituminous materials were specified, all conforming with the latest Standard Specifications of the City and the Michigan Department of Transportation.

The Public Services Area solicited bids, ITB-#4448 for bituminous paving materials for a contract period of July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2018, subject to annual appropriation of funds. Cadillac Asphalt, LLC was the only respondent.

Sufficient funds for this purchase are budgeted within the Public Services, Public Works Major and Local Street funds for fiscal year 2017. Future contract years are subject to City Council annual budget appropriation. We anticipate an annual expenditure of up to $150,000.00 for each fiscal year.
