Memorandum
Attached for your consideration and approval is a request from the Arbor Brewing Company to close E. Washington Street from Main Street to the alley before the parking structure from 1:00 PM on Friday, July 15, 2016 to 1:00 AM on Saturday, July 16, 2016 for their 21st Anniversary Celebration. The parking structure will remain open during this event. The actual event runs from 5:00 PM until midnight with the additional time to be used for set-up and breakdown of the event.

The sponsor, Arbor Brewing Company, is celebrating its 21st year anniversary and will be holding a block party on July 15, 2016. All are welcome to celebrate the occasion. There will be music provided by live bands throughout the event. Notification of the street closure will be provided through flyers and/or face-to-face contact with impacted businesses/residents. Notification will also occur via the City's website, GovDelivery, print and social media at least two weeks prior to the event.

The sponsor agrees to obtain all necessary permits, to provide evidence of proper liability insurance as required, to comply with all City regulations governing the use of the streets and will reimburse the City for all event expenses.

The sponsor will submit an application for approval from the State of Michigan Liquor
Control Commission for temporary sales, service and consumption of alcoholic beverages in the defined areas pursuant to the M.L.C.C. regulations.
