In order to repair the wall, it is necessary to remove and replace about 14.5 lineal feet of the cast-in-place concrete retaining wall, an adjoining portion of the concrete slope paving, the sidewalk and ramps next to the wall, and restore the area to its pre-construction condition.

The Project Management Services Unit had plans and contract documents prepared for this work and bid the project through the City's Procurement Unit following our standard procedures. On April 20, 2016, three bids were received for this work. Lacaria Concrete Construction, Inc. of Detroit Michigan was the lowest responsible bidder with a bid amount of $55,078.00.
