Attached for your review and consideration for approval is a resolution authorizing up to $189,480.00 for the purchase of copper piping and brass fittings from Michigan Meter Technology Group, Inc. This amount includes the bid price of $157,900.00 and a 20% contingency of $31,580.00.

A utilities materials bid was advertised on the City's Website and on the Michigan Inter-governmental Trade Network (MITN) website. The bid was subdivided into ten (10) material groups. Five (5) bids were received and publically opened on February 23, 2016 and Michigan Meter Technology Group, Inc. was the lowest responsible bidder on the copper pipe and brass fittings materials group. These materials are used for the installation, repair and replacement of water service leads.

Budget Impact:
Funding is available in the approved FY16 Water Supply System Operations and Maintenance budgets and will be available in subsequent budgets if approved by Council.

Michigan Meter Technology Group, Inc. complies with the City's Non-Discrimination and Living Wage ordinances.
