Resolution Recognizing Ann Arbor Gold Fastpitch as a Civic Nonprofit Organization Operating in Ann Arbor for the Purpose of Obtaining a Charitable Gaming License
Memorandum
To obtain a charitable gaming license under Michigan law, a nonprofit organization is required to submit a resolution from its local governing body recognizing it as a community-based organization.

Ann Arbor Gold Fastpitch is a local non-profit organization that develops nationally recognized softball teams. Ann Arbor Gold Fastpitch achieves this by creating an environment of positive discipline, hard work, integrity, team spirit and a cohesive approach between players, parents, and coaches. The organization works to provide opportunities to promote and reinforce positive attributes such as confidence, work ethics, and teamwork. Ann Arbor Gold Fastpitch is dedicated to developing quality high school and future college softball players.

Passage of the attached resolution will allow Ann Arbor Gold Fastpitch to host a Texas Hold Em Tournament as part of their fundraising efforts for this year. This resolution is required in order to obtain final approval from the Charitable Gaming Division of the Bureau of State Lottery for the event.
