Memorandum
The attached resolution authorizes the summary publication of Ordinance 08-28 to amend Section 2:51.1 of Chapter 28 of Title II of the Code of the City of Ann Arbor.
The City Charter contains provisions to allow summary publications of ordinances that are in excess of 500 words in length. The purpose of this resolution is to lessen the City's cost resulting from the required publication of the revisions to the City Code.

RESOLVED, That Ordinance No. 08-28 be published by the following summary:
Ordinance No. 08-28 amends the existing Section 2:51.1 of Chapter 28 of Title II of the Code of the City of Ann Arbor to allow the funding cap to be established by city council resolution and to clarify the process under 2:51.1(12) for approval of funding above the funding cap in certain circumstances.
