Memorandum
Attached for your review and action is a resolution to accept the donation of a portion of the property, located at 2345 Huron Parkway into the City’s park system. The donation is 0.35 acres in size.

The site contains a portion of Malletts Creek. The 0.35 acres will be an addition to Scheffler Park. The site also provides for a better connection between Scheffler Park and Red Bud Nature Area. Red Bud Nature Area is a 5 acre natural area with some walking trails, but no other park amenities. Scheffler Park is a 5.52-acre park located on Huron Parkway at Edgewood. The park contains many activities for a neighborhood park including a play area, volleyball court, half-basketball court, rollerblading/hockey court, picnic tables and grills, softball field, drinking fountain, and a portable restroom in the summer. Mallett’s Creek runs through the middle of the park with a pedestrian bridge connecting the two sections.
