Memorandum
PROCLAMATION
In Appreciation of
Ted Hejka
November 16, 2015
WHEREAS, Ted Hejka has dedicated himself to volunteering in the assistance of the Ann Arbor Parks and Natural Areas; and
WHEREAS, Ted Hejka has worked enthusiastically to care for Black Pond Woods Nature Area as a Park Steward by cutting invasive shrubs, hand pulling invasive herbaceous plants, leading other volunteers in workdays, assisting Natural Area Preservation in developing management plans, and advocating for the park; and
WHEREAS, Ted Hejka has attended countless NAP prescribed burns where he tirelessly applied and extinguished fire, and served as a mentor to other burn crew volunteers; and
WHEREAS, The City of Ann Arbor appreciates and celebrates the dedicated work
of volunteers in assisting with the care of our parks and natural areas.
NOW THEREFORE, I, Christopher Taylor, Mayor of Ann Arbor, Michigan, in recognition of these personal and volunteer endeavors conducted for the greater good of our community, do hereby proclaim a commemoration of Ted Hejka on November 16, 2015, in the City of Ann Arbor.
