Memorandum
Approval of this ordinance will rezone this 0.38-acre site from R1B to O to provide a zoning district that is more appropriate for the character of the area.
The City Planning Commission determined that the proposed rezoning is compatible with the nearby multiple-family dwelling, office and retail uses, and recommended approval of the request at its meeting of August 5, 2015. The Planning Commission also waived the area plan requirement because no addition of floor area is proposed.

AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE ZONING MAP, BEING A PART OF CHAPTER 55 OF TITLE V OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF ANN ARBOR
The City of Ann Arbor ordains:
Section 1. THE ZONING MAP, which, by Section 5:4 of Chapter 55 of Title V of the Code of the City of Ann Arbor is made a part of said Chapter 55, shall be so amended as to designate the zoning classification of property described as follows:
Commencing at the North ¼ corner Section 5, Township 3 South, Range 6 East, thence South along North/South line 2170.60 feet, thence Easterly 210.80 feet, thence Northerly 83 feet for a point of beginning, thence Northerly 83 feet, thence Westerly 226.35 feet to the center line of S Main St, thence Southerly 83.36 feet thence Easterly 218.58 feet to the point of beginning, being part of the Northeast ¼ Section 5, Township 3 South, Range 6 East except the right of way Westerly portion.
in the City of Ann Arbor, Washtenaw County, Michigan as O (Office Zoning District).
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force on and after ten days from legal publication.
