Resolution to Appropriate Funds ($65,000.00) from Information Technology Fund Balance to Amend the FY 2016 IT Operating Budget to Fund the Continued Use of the Current Human Resource and Payroll Services Software with Ultipro Software Group (8 Votes Required)
Memorandum
Attached for your review and approval is a resolution that authorizes the appropriation of funds from the available IT Fund balance to amend the FY 2016 Information Technology operating budget. This funding is requested to allow for the continued use of the current Human Resource and Payroll Services software with Ultipro Software Group due to a delay in the launch of the replacement system.

The UltiPro Human Resource and Payroll Systems were scheduled to be replaced with NuView during FY 2015. During the testing phase of the NuView system implementation it was discovered that there were issues with the benefits integration. These issues have caused the City to postpone the launch until sometime in early FY 2016. As a result, per City Code 1:316, Human Resources requested an emergency purchase order from the City Administrator for the continued use of the existing human resource and payroll software, which was subsequently approved. As required by the code, we are returning to council to report the emergency authorization.

Budget/Fiscal Impact
Funding for this request is available from the Information Technologies Fund Balance in the amount of $65,000.

The Ultimate Software Group Inc. complies with the City's Non-discrimination and Living Wage ordinances.
