Memorandum
Attached for your consideration and approval is a request from the Grizzly Peak to close W. Washington Street from S. Ashley to Main Street from 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 8, 2015 to 2:00 AM on Sunday, August 9, 2015 for their 20th Anniversary Celebration. The actual event runs from 4:00 PM until midnight with the additional time to be used for set-up and breakdown of the event.
The sponsor, Grizzly Peak Brewing Company/The Old German, is celebrating its 20th year anniversary and will be holding a block party on August 8, 2015. All will be welcome to join in the celebration. There will be music provided by either a live band or DJ throughout the event. Notification of the street closure will be provided through flyers and/or face-to-face contact with impacted businesses/residents. Notification will also occur via the City's website, GovDelivery, print and social media at least two weeks prior to the event.

The sponsor agrees to obtain all necessary permits, to provide evidence of proper liability insurance as required, to comply with all City regulations governing the use of the streets and will reimburse the City for all event expenses.

The sponsor will submit an application for approval from the State of Michigan Liquor
Control Commission for temporary sales, service and consumption of alcoholic beverages in the defined areas pursuant to the M.L.C.C. regulations.
