Resolution Directing the City Administrator to Work with Pittsfield Township to Gain Approval of the Airport Runway Extension

Whereas, The Capital Improvement Plan includes allocating $144,000.00 from the Airport fund for an extension of the airport runway;
Whereas, Residents of Ann Arbor and Pittsfield Township have opposed the airport extension; and
Whereas, Our partners in Pittsfield Township, including the elected officials of the township government, have opposed the airport runway extension; and
Whereas, The City Council has regularly not included this project in the Capital Improvements Budget;
RESOLVED, That the City Council directs the City Administrator to work with our partners in Pittsfield Township, gaining approval of the runway extension prior incorporating it for action by City Council.
