Memorandum
Attached for your approval is a resolution to award contracts to Green-Vision Lawn & Landscaping for the mowing of City traffic islands, trunkline traffic islands within the City limits, and mowing and trimming at the Wastewater Treatment Plant, and KBK Landscaping for mowing of athletic fields used for active recreation along with five other City properties and four other park areas.

Budget/Fiscal Impact
Funding for mowing and trimming services is included in the annual operations and maintenance budgets of the Field Operations Service Unit, Wastewater Treatment Plant, and Fleet and Facilities Service Unit.

ITB #4364 was issued on BidNet for seasonal mowing services and five bids were received. As indicated on the attached bid tabulation, the ITB was divided into 5 sections, Green-Vision Lawn & Landscaping is the lowest responsible bidder for Section A-Traffic Islands and Section B-Wastewater Treatment Plant ($40,032.00/annually; $120,096.00/3 years); and KBK Landscaping is the lowest responsible bidder for Sections C-Other City Properties, Section D-Other Park Areas and Section E-Athletic Fields ($22,048.00/annually; $66,144.00/3 years). An annual contingency of $6,200.00 is recommended to be available for the addition of mowing areas within the City.

The term of each contract is three years with the City having the option to renew the contract for up to two (2) one (1) year periods.

Green-Vision Lawn & Landscaping, and KBK Landscaping comply with the requirements of the City's non-discrimination ordinances;
