Title
Resolution to Approve Amendment No. 1 to the Professional Services Agreement with Stantec Consulting Michigan, Inc. for Technical Engineering Services ($250,000.00)
Memorandum
This memorandum and resolution requests approval of Amendment No. 1 to the professional services agreement for technical engineering services with Stantec. Council approved a professional services agreement for $250,000.00 with Stantec through a competitive process in November 2013 as part of Resolution No. R-13-345.

The City is seeking to amend the professional services agreement with Stantec to accommodate additional technical engineering service needs over the next two fiscal years. Stantec is currently supporting Public Services on numerous projects within the Water Treatment Services Unit, as well as serving as the interim Water Treatment Services Engineer while the City's Engineer is serving as the Interim Water Treatment Services Unit Manager.

It is therefore, recommended that City Council approve Amendment No. 1 to the professional services agreement with Stantec, to provide Technical Engineering Services for FY15 and FY16. The original contract to the professional services agreement with Stantec has a termination date of June 30, 2016.

Stantec received Human Rights approval on February 20, 2014, and complies with the living wage ordinance.

Budget/Fiscal Impact
These engineering services are to be funded from the approved FY15 Water Supply System, Parks, and Hydro Fund Operating budgets, and the approved capital budgets, for which services are rendered. Tasks will be assigned on as-needed basis to the appropriate fund. Engineering services for FY16 will be funded from the operating and capital budgets for these fiscal years if so approved by Council.
