Memorandum
This ordinance will zone this property to R1B (Single-Family Dwelling District), now that the property has been officially annexed into the City.  The proposed zoning is consistent with the adjacent zoning, the surrounding land uses, and the City's Master Plan.  
 
The City Planning Commission, at its meeting of August 20, 2013, recommended approval of the request.  The Michigan Secretary of State's Office recently confirmed that all statutory requirements have been complied with in order to complete the annexation.

AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE ZONING MAP, BEING A PART OF CHAPTER 55 OF TITLE V OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF ANN ARBOR
 
The City of Ann Arbor ordains:
 
Section 1.  THE ZONING MAP, which, by Section 5:4 of Chapter 55 of Title V of the Code of the City of Ann Arbor is made a part of said Chapter 55, shall be so amended as to designate the zoning classification of property described as follows:
 
Eastern part of Lot 15 of Garden Homes Subdivision, unrecorded, described as follows: commencing at the Northwest corner of the East ½ of the Northeast ¼ section, thence South 1 degree 33 feet 40 inches, West 957 feet on 1/8 line, thence South 86 degrees 56 feet 20 inches, East 468 feet for a place of beginning, thence South 1 degree 33 feet 40 inches, West 315.53 feet thence North 50 degrees 14 feet, 50 inches, West 76.32 feet, thence North 1 degree 33 feet 40 inches, East 269.90 feet to the place of beginning, being a part of the East ½ of the Northeast ¼ section 24T2S-R5E.
 
in the City of Ann Arbor, Washtenaw County, Michigan as R1B (Single-Family Dwelling District).
 
Section 2.  This ordinance shall take effect and be in force on and after ten days from legal publication.
