Memorandum
Approval of this resolution will rezone six platted lots totaling 16.6-acres from RE to ORL to allow greater flexibility in the development of these parcels.  
 
The City Planning Commission determined that the proposed rezoning is consistent with the adjacent zoning, the surrounding land uses, and the recommendations of the City's South State Street Corridor Plan and recommended approval of the request at its meeting of June 3, 2014.

RESEARCH PARK LOTS 26-31 REZONING
(3886, 3900, 3928, 3944, 3950 and 3958 Research Park Drive)
 
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE ZONING MAP, BEING A PART OF CHAPTER 55 OF TITLE V OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF ANN ARBOR
 
The City of Ann Arbor ordains:
 
Section 1.  THE ZONING MAP, which, by Section 5:4 of Chapter 55 of Title V of the Code of the City of Ann Arbor is made a part of said Chapter 55, shall be so amended as to designate the zoning classification of property described as follows:
 
Lots 26, 27, 28, 29, 30 and 31 of RESEARCH PARK SUBDIVISION, according to the plat thereof recorded in Liber 15 of Plats, Page 56 and 57 of Washtenaw County Records, EXCEPTING that portion of Lot 31 described as:
BEGINNING at the Southwest Corner of said Lot 31; thence S49°49'12"E  415.26 feet (record S49°48'E  415.00 feet) along the Southerly line of said Lot 31; thence Northerly along the Westerly line of Research Park Drive (80 foot wide Right-of-Way) 12.98 feet along the arc of a 303.77 foot radius curve to the left, through a central angle of 02°26'54" and having a chord bearing N30°22'47"E (record N30°23'15"E)  12.98 feet; thence N49°49'12"W  419.51 feet (record N49°48'00"W  419.24 feet); thence S13°23'08"W  14.33 feet along the West line of said Lot 31 to the Place of Beginning.

Section 2.  This ordinance shall take effect and be in force on and after ten days from legal publication.
