Memorandum
The attached resolution authorizes a contract in the amount of $149,500.00, with Emergency Restoration Company, for the renovation of restrooms and locker rooms at Fire Stations #3 & #4. The project involves the renovation of the existing restroom facilities to create two unisex restrooms and showers at each station. Locker room facilities will be renovated and ventilation in the locker room and restroom areas will be improved.

Requests for bids (ITB 4335) were advertised and bids were received from three contractors on May 19, 2014. Staff evaluated the bids and determined that the prices were competitive and recommends that Emergency Restoration Company, as the lowest responsible bidder, be awarded the contract. The bid tabulation is attached.

Funding for this work is budgeted in the approved FY2014 General Capital Fund (00CP) Capital Budget ($100,000.00) and the Safety Services Area, Fire Department approved General Fund operating budget ($50,000.00) for FY2014.

Emergency Restoration Company received Human Rights and Living Wage approval on November 18, 2013.
