Resolution to Approve Amendment Number One to Contract with Washtenaw County Community Support & Treatment Services for Mental Health Treatment Services to Sobriety Court and Mental Health Court Participants ($76,242.00)
Memorandum
This resolution seeks City Council approval for a contract amendment with Washtenaw County Community Support & Treatment Services to increase the total contract amount from $45,271.00 to $76,242.00 to expand mental health treatment services to 15th Judicial District Court Mental Health Court participants. The original contract scope of services (Resolution R-14-014) was for the Sobriety Court. These services are funded by grant funds from the Supreme Court of Michigan State Court Administrative Office Michigan Drug Court Grant Program (SCAO-MDCGP) and Michigan Mental Health Court Grant Program (SCAO-MMHCGP) for Grant Fiscal Year 2014, and without regard to City Fiscal Year.
Approval of a ten percent (10%) contract contingency is also requested to allow the Court to increase services should additional funds become available for mental health services through an approved SCAO grant program.

Whereas, The Michigan Supreme Court State Court Administrative Office has awarded grant funds to the 15th Judicial District Court for mental health treatment services to 15th Judicial District Court defendants who are participants in the Court's Sobriety Court and Mental Health Court programs;
Whereas, The 15th Judicial District Court has determined that Washtenaw County Community Support & Treatment Services is an appropriate and skilled provider of such services; and
Whereas, It is in the best interests of the City of Ann Arbor and in the best interests of justice to amend the service contract with Washtenaw County Community Support & Treatment Services;
