Resolution to Nominate and Appoint Members to the City of Ann Arbor Environmental Commission

Whereas, The ordinance creating the Environmental Commission requires City Council to nominate and approve the appointments of the members;
Whereas, Susan Hutton has served on the Environmental Commission since 2011, and has completed her first term;
Whereas, Susan Hutton has expressed an interest in continuing to serve on the Environmental Commission; and
Whereas, Kirk Westphal has served on the Environmental Commission as the representative of the Planning Commission since 2009, is currently the Chair of the Planning Commission and was selected for reappointment by the Planning Commission to serve an additional term;
RESOLVED, That the nominations and reappointments to the Environmental Commission be approved for Kirk Westphal for three-year terms beginning June 1, 2013 and expiring May 31, 2016, and Susan Hutton for a three-year term beginning June 1, 2014 and expiring May 31, 2017; and
RESOLVED, That the City Clerk notify Mr. Westphal and Ms. Hutton of these appointments.
