Resolution to Approve the Rayer Annexation, 0.39 Acres, 2640 Miller Avenue (CPC Recommendation: Approval - 9 Yeas and 0 Nays)
Memorandum
Approval of this resolution will allow annexation of this property from Scio Township into the City. The property is within the City's water and sewer service area, and the current use is consistent with the adjacent zoning, land uses and master plan. Council action on the proposed R1B (Single-Family Dwelling District) zoning will be scheduled after the annexation process is complete.
The City Planning Commission, at its meeting of August 20, 2013, recommended approval of the request.

Whereas, The territory hereinafter described is located in the Township of Scio and is adjacent to the corporate limits of the City of Ann Arbor;
Whereas, Robert Rayer is the owner of said property; and
Whereas, It is the desire of Robert Rayer to annex said territory to the City of Ann Arbor, pursuant to the provisions of Act 279 of the Public Acts of the State of Michigan for the year 1909, as amended;
RESOLVED, That the following described lands and premises situated and being in the Township of Scio, Washtenaw County, Michigan, be detached from said Township and annexed to the City of Ann Arbor, to-wit:
Eastern part of Lot 15 of Garden Homes Subdivision, unrecorded, described as follows: commencing at the Northwest corner of the East 1/2 of the Northeast 1/4 of section 24, thence South 1 degree 33 minutes 40 seconds, West 957 feet on 1/8 line, thence South 86 degrees 56 minutes 20 seconds, East 468 feet for a place of beginning, thence South 86 degrees 56 minutes 20 seconds East 60 feet, thence South 1 degree 33 minutes 40 seconds, West 315.53 feet thence North 50 degrees 1...
