Memorandum
This ordinance amendment will rezone this property from R1A (Single-Family Dwelling District) to PL (Public Land) to be consistent with the intended use of the property as public parkland.  The proposed zoning is consistent with the adjacent zoning, the surrounding land uses, and the City's Master Plan.  The City Planning Commission, at its meeting of August 6, 2013, recommended approval of the request.

3875 EAST HURON RIVER DRIVE REZONING
(3875 EAST HURON RIVER DRIVE)
 
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE ZONING MAP, BEING A PART OF CHAPTER 55 OF TITLE V OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF ANN ARBOR
 
The City of Ann Arbor ordains:
 
Section 1.  THE ZONING MAP, which, by Section 5:4 of Chapter 55 of Title V of the Code of the City of Ann Arbor is made a part of said Chapter 55, shall be so amended as to designate the zoning classification of property described as follows:
Commencing at the Northeast corner of Braun Park, Washtenaw Hills Estate No.1, a recorded plat in Washtenaw County, Michigan and running thence South 85° 05' East for 425.00 feet to the centerline of Huron River Drive (so-called) for a point of beginning; thence running northeasterly along said centerline of a curve left whose central angle is 14° and 10' and whose radius is 804.76 feet for 20.6 feet; thence North 82° 15' East along said centerline for 110.55 feet; thence along said centerline on a curve right whose central angle is 21° 18' and whose radius is 797.67 feet for 296.54 feet; thence South 76° 27' East along said centerline for 35.0 feet to the 750 foot contour by United States Geological Survey Datum as established by surveys made under the direction of Gardner S. Williams, Consulting Engineer, Ann Arbor, Michigan, thence Northerly, Westerly and Southerly along said contour following its crooks and turns to a point which is North 07° 45' West 33.0 feet from the Point of Beginning; thence South 07° 45' East for 33.00 feet to the Point of Beginning; being a part of the East half of the Southwest quarter of Section 35, T2S, R6E, in the Township of Ann Arbor (now City of Ann Arbor), County of Washtenaw and State of Michigan.

Section 2.  This ordinance shall take effect and be in force on and after ten days from legal publication.
