PROCLAMATION
In Appreciation of
Eastern Michigan University's ESL Students
August 19, 2013
WHEREAS, The Eastern Michigan University's ESL Students have dedicated themselves to volunteering in the assistance of the Ann Arbor Parks; and
WHEREAS, Eastern Michigan University's ESL Students have worked with the GIVE 365 Volunteer Program at several of our recreation facilities and special events including multiple pool splash days and our annual Huron River Day celebration; and
WHEREAS, Eastern Michigan University's ESL Student volunteers' efforts have been continually praised by patrons in attendance and have made the events enjoyable for all patrons they interacted with; and
WHEREAS, Their consistent participation and ongoing efforts to partner with the GIVE 365 Volunteer Program has made a positive impact on the facilities and park events as well as the GIVE 365 program as a whole; and
WHEREAS, The City of Ann Arbor appreciates the tireless effort of volunteers in assistance of our parks.
NOW THEREFORE, I, John Hieftje, Mayor of Ann Arbor, Michigan, in recognition of these personal and volunteer endeavors, conducted to the greater good of our community, do hereby proclaim a commemoration of Eastern Michigan University's ESL Students on August 19, 2013, in the City of Ann Arbor.
