Resolution to Approve Miller Avenue Improvements - Sidewalk and Curb & Gutter Special Assessment Resolution No. 4

Attached for your review and approval is Resolution No. 4 confirming the Special Assessment Roll for the Miller Avenue Improvements - Sidewalk and Curb & Gutter Special Assessment, District No. 40, File No. 2009-023.
An administrative hearing to describe the project to the affected property owners was held June 27, 2012. Included in the discussions were the shared costs to property owners for the addition of sidewalk and curb & gutter where none currently exist, the estimated total project cost, property assessments and the work schedule. Resolution 2 establishing the estimated cost of the project and the estimated project revenue sources and directing the preparation of the special assessment roll was approved by Council on May 13, 2013. Resolution No. 3, approved by Council on May 13, 2013 scheduled the Public Hearing for June 3, 2013.
A public hearing was held on June 3, 2013 on the proposed Special Assessment. There were no objections to the Special Assessment.
Per City ordinance, it is recommended that the property share be in one payment.

Whereas, City Council, after due and legal notice, has met for the purpose of reviewing the Special Assessment Roll prepared for the purpose of assessing the private property’s share of the cost of the sidewalk and curb & gutter described as follows: New sidewalk on the south side of Miller Avenue between Saunders Crescent and Linda Vista Avenue and new concrete curb & gutter on the south side of Miller Avenue between Saunders Crescent and Newport Road, District No. 40, File No. 2009-023;
