Title
Resolution to Approve Additional Street Closings for the 2013 Ann Arbor Marathon- Sunday, June 9, 2013
Memorandum
Attached for your consideration is a resolution to close additional streets for the 2013 Ann Arbor Marathon on Sunday, June 9, 2013.

The sponsor, Champions for Charity, subsequent to City Council's March 4, 2013 approval of street closings for the Ann Arbor Marathon, #R-13-051, had the course certified by USA Track and Field and it was determined that the course was 7/10 of a mile short for a true marathon.  These additional street closures will make up for that discrepancy and were designated to have minimal disruption in the area.

These additional street closings have been reviewed by all relevant City service areas for the purposes of traffic control and for the protection of the health and safety of the participants and the general public.
