Memorandum
Attached are a series of amendments to the City’s pension ordinance. These amendments reflect negotiations with City bargaining units related to new hires, rehires and transfers between City service units on or after July 2, 2012, as well as simplification of certain provision terms with standardized language relating back to other applicable sections where appropriate.

The City of Ann Arbor Ordains:
Section 1. That Section 1:552.1 of Chapter 18 of Title 1 of the Code of the City of Ann Arbor be amended to read as follows:
1:552.1. - Definitions A-F.
The following words and phrases used in this chapter shall have the following meanings, unless a different meaning is clearly required by the context:
