Resolution to Approve the Summit Townhomes Annexation, 3.32 Acres, 2081 East Ellsworth (CPC Recommendation: Approval 6 Yeas and 1 Nay)
Memorandum
Approval of this resolution will allow annexation of this property from Pittsfield Township into the City. The property is within the City’s water and sewer service area, and the current use is consistent with the adjacent zoning, land uses and master plan.
The City Planning Commission, at its meeting of June 19, 2012, recommended approval of the request and postponed action on the proposed R3 (Townhouse Dwelling District) Zoning and Area Plan. City Council action on the proposed zoning and Area Plan will be scheduled after the annexation is completed by the State and a recommendation by the Planning Commission is completed.

Whereas, The territory hereinafter described is located in the Township of Pittsfield and is adjacent to the corporate limits of the City of Ann Arbor;
Whereas, Growwwwlee LLC is the owner of said property; and
Whereas, It is the desire of Growwwwlee LLC to annex said territory to the City of Ann Arbor, pursuant to the provisions of Act 359 of the Public Acts of the State of Michigan for the year 1947, as amended;
Resolved, That the following described lands and premises situated and being in the Township of Pittsfield, Washtenaw County, Michigan, be detached from said Township and annexed to the City of Ann Arbor, to-wit:
