Resolution to Re-Appoint Members to the Greenbelt Advisory Commission
Memorandum
The Open Space and Parkland Preservation Ordinance, Chapter 42 of the City Code, stipulates that the Greenbelt Advisory Commission shall consist of: two (2) members to serve as representatives of environmental and/or conservation groups, one (1) member who is an agricultural landowner or operates an agricultural business, one (1) member who is a real estate development professional, one (1) member who is a plant or animal biologist, three (3) members from the public-at-large, one (1) member of Ann Arbor City Council.
At the end of June, Peter Allen and Catherine Riseng's terms on the Greenbelt Advisory Commission will expire. Mr. Allen has served on the Greenbelt Advisory Commission since April 2008 as a real estate development professional representative on the Commission and is eligible for re-appointment of another term. Ms. Riseng has served as a biologist representative on the Commission since July of 2009 and is eligible for re-appointment of another term.

Whereas, City Council passed an ordinance creating a Greenbelt Advisory Commission;
Whereas, The ordinance requires City Council to nominate and appoint the members of the Commission; and
Whereas, Peter Allen has served as the real estate development professional representative for the past two years;
Whereas, Catherine Riseng has served as an environmental organization representative for the past three years;
RESOLVED, That Peter Allen be re-appointed to the Greenbelt Advisory Commission as the real estate development professional representative for a three-year term beginning July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2015;
RESOLVED, That Catherine Riseng be re-appointed to the Greenbelt Advisory Commission as the biologist representative for a three-year term beginning July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2015;
