Resolution to Approve Amendment #1 to the Professional Services Agreement between the City and URS Corporation for the Exhibit A Property Map of the Ann Arbor Airport ($800.00)

Attached for your review and approval is amendment #1 to the July 31, 2010 Professional Services Agreement between the City and URS Corporation. Amendment #1 is in the amount of $800.00 and covers engineering related to additional easements that needed to be added to the Exhibit A property map of the Ann Arbor Airport. The original Professional Services Agreement of $25,000.00 was approved by City Council on June 17, 2010.
The Exhibit A property map is required by the Federal Aviation Administration and the Michigan Department of Transportation - Office of Aeronautics (MDOT-Aero) for all federally funded airports. The original $25,000.00 expense was paid for by Airport Improvement Grant funds and included a local share of $625.00 paid from the Airport operating budget. The additional $800.00 will be covered in full by MDOT-Aero's project contingency. Since the Professional Service Agreement is between the City and URS, the amendment to the Agreement must be approved by the City before MDOT-Aero can approve final payout.
URS Corporation received Human Rights and Living Wage approval on March 14, 2012.

Whereas, The City entered into a Professional Services Agreement dated July 31, 2010 with URS Corporation to complete an Exhibit A property map for the Ann Arbor Airport consistent with Federal Aviation Administration regulations;
Whereas, The number of easements that needed to be added to the Exhibit A property map exceeded what was originally bid and additional engineering services were necessary;
Whereas, URS Corporation received Human Rights and Living Wage approval on March 14, 2012;
Whereas, Funding for contract amendment #1 has been approved under the Airport Improvement Grant program through the Michigan Department of Transportation - Office of Aeronautics;
RESOLVED, That City Council approve contract amendment #1 in the amount of $800.00 with URS Corporation for additional engineering services related to the Exhibit A property map of the Ann Arbor Airport;
RESOLVED, That the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized and directed to execute said contract after approval as to substance by the City Administrator and approval as to form by the City Attorney; and
RESOLVED, That the City Administrator is authorized to take all necessary actions to implement this resolution.
