Resolution to Support the Michigan TEDF Category F Funding Application for the Resurfacing of Ann Arbor - Saline Road at I-94
Memorandum
The attached resolution is in support of a grant to resurface Ann Arbor - Saline Road near the State highway I-94.
Ann Arbor - Saline Road south of Eisenhower intersection is in poor condition and must be resurfaced. In 2011 Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRC), the Michigan Department of Transportation and the City of Ann Arbor began the planning for the resurfacing of Ann Arbor - Saline Road from Eisenhower Blvd in the City Of Ann Arbor to a point roughly 1000 feet south of I-94 in the Pittsfield Township. To fund the project, Washtenaw County Road Commission led the process and applied for the State’s TEDF Category F funding. The Transportation Economic Development Fund (TEDF) was created to assist in the funding of highway, road, and street projects necessary to support economic growth.
At this time the State of Michigan requires a City Council resolution in support of the TEDF funding application for the project. The attached resolution, after the City Council’s approval, will be submitted to the Michigan Department of Transportation.
