Resolution to Approve the Dexter Avenue Improvements - Sidewalk and Curb & Gutter Special Assessment Resolution No. 4

Attached for your review and approval is Resolution No. 4 confirming the Special Assessment Roll for the Dexter Avenue Improvements - Sidewalk and Curb & Gutter Special Assessment, District No. 39, File No. 2010-039.
An administrative hearing to describe the project to the affected property owners was held October 3, 2011. Included in the discussions were the shared costs to property owners for the addition of sidewalk and curb & gutter where none currently exist, the estimated total project cost, property assessments and the work schedule. Resolution 2 establishing the estimated cost of the project and the estimated project revenue sources and directing the preparation of the special assessment roll was approved by Council on November 10, 2011. Resolution No. 3 scheduled the Public Hearing for December 5, 2011.
Per City ordinance, it is recommended that the property share be in one payment.

Whereas, City Council, after due and legal notice, has met for the purpose of reviewing Special Assessment Roll prepared for the purpose of assessing the private property’s share of the cost of the sidewalk and curb & gutter described as follows: Construction of a new sidewalk system along the north side of Dexter Avenue to provide a continuous pedestrian connection. In addition, construct a new curb along Veteran’s Park and a new curb and gutter across from Veteran’s Park on the north side of Dexter Avenue, District No. 39, File No. 2010-039;
Whereas, City Council has heard all persons interested in the necessity of the improvement or aggrieved by the Special Assessment Roll and has considered any and all objections thereto; and
