Michigan Association of Planning Zoning Atlas and State Housing Bills
Leah DuMouchel of the Michigan Association of Planning will present "What Are Other Communities Doing? And other investigations into zoning adventures." It will introduce the Michigan Zoning MAP (MZM), an interactive tool showing the cumulative effect of zoning on housing regulations in southeast Michigan. Following a brief summary of the zoning reform bills proposed in the Michigan House in February 2026, the MZM will be used to connect the bills' proposals to existing regulations and to Ann Arbor's comprehensive plan and zoning ordinance. Two other zoning resources relevant to the Comprehensive Plan's recommendations will round out the presentation.
