Resolution to Update Street Closings for the Ann Arbor Jaycee's 4th of July Parade to Include North University from 8:00 AM Until 1:00 PM
Memorandum
Attached for your consideration is a resolution to approve an additional street closure for the Ann Arbor Jaycees 4th of July Parade. Approval for the Parade was obtained at R-22-137 on May 16, 2022. The Ann Arbor Jaycees request a closure of North University between Fletcher and Thayer and to close Thayer between North University and Washington. Fletcher will be used for staging and the Parade will begin at Fletcher and North University. The organizers will make accommodations to safely allow traffic to exit from Bell Tower and from the Michigan League. The closure will now involve these streets:
* North University from Thayer to Fletcher
* Thayer from North University to Washington
* Fletcher from North University to Washington
* Washington from Thayer to Main
* Main to William (where parade will end)
The streets will re-open as soon as it is safe to do so.

Whereas The closure will now include North University from Thayer to Fletcher and Thayer from North University to Washington; and
Whereas The complete closure will include:
* North University from Thayer to Fletcher
* Thayer from North University to Washington
* Fletcher from North University to Washington
* Washington from Thayer to Main
* Main to William (where parade will end); and
Whereas, The street closures will be signed, barricaded and properly supervised;
Whereas, All streets will be reopened as soon as safely possible after the Parade and participants have cleared the affected areas;
