Memorandum
The attached resolution authorizes the summary publication of Ordinance No. 18-22. The City Charter allows summary publication of ordinances that are in excess of 500 words in length. Approval of this resolution will eliminate the cost of publishing the entire ordinance in the notice.

Whereas, Section 7.4 of the City Charter authorizes the publication by summary of ordinances over 500 words in length;
RESOLVED, That the publication of Ordinance 18-22 shall be by the following summary:
Ordinance 18-22 amends Sections 5.15 (Table 5-15) and 5.37.2 of Chapter 55 (Unified Development Code) of the Code of the City of Ann Arbor to add Marijuana-Infused Product Processors as a Special Exception Use in the C2B and C3 Zoning Districts. Section 5.37.2 defines a Marijuana-Infused Product Processor as: A licensee that is a commercial entity located in this state that purchases resin, oil, or other concentrates, to produce, package, and wholesale marihuana-infused products to licensed Provisioning Centers or other Processors.
The effective date of the Ordinance is 10 days after publication.
The Ordinance will be available in the Office of the City Clerk (301 E. Huron, Ann Arbor, Michigan) starting on October 3, 2018.
