An Ordinance to Amend Chapter 55 (Zoning), Rezoning of 5.7 Acres from TWP (Township) to R4A (Multiple-Family Dwelling District), The Village of Ann Arbor III, 2600 Pontiac Trail (CPC Recommendation: Approval - 9 Yes and 0 No)
Memorandum
Approval of this ordinance will designate a 5.7-acre parcel at 2600 Pontiac Trail as R4A (Multiple-Family Dwelling). Petitions to annex and zone the parcel were submitted in 2022 in anticipation of added components to The Village of Ann Arbor development (main address 1680 and 1710 Dhu Varren Rd) although no development of 2600 Pontiac Trail is proposed at this time. This parcel was inadvertently omitted from a previous ordinance on other related parcels and this action would complete the required zoning step.
The City Planning Commission recommended approval of the annexation and zoning designation at its meeting of April 19, 2022.
City Council approved the annexation by Resolution R-22-215 on June 21, 2022. Confirmation was communicated from the State on August 15, 2022.
