Title
RESOLUTION TO APPROVE A COST SHARING AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF ANN ARBOR FOR THE NORTH MAIN STREET TRANSPORTATION STUDY

Memorandum
TO: DDA Board
Attached for your review and consideration is a resolution to approve a Cost Share Agreement with the City of Ann Arbor. The North Main Street Transportation Study includes an existing conditions assessment, data collection and modeling, public engagement, and conceptual design options. The intent is to develop a conceptual design that can be implemented with a planned Michigan Department of Transportation street resurfacing project in 2030.

The City Transportation Team is leading the approximately twelve-month design process, in partnership with DDA staff. 43% of the project area is within the DDA Original District Boundaries and the recommended Expansion Area 1. As a result, DDA staff recommend a proportional cost share, with the DDA contributing 43% of the cost or $258,000. North Main Street improvements were identified as a high-ranking project through the DDA's Development Plan process and is included in the DDA's updated Capital Improvement Plan. Dollars are available in the TIF capital budget.
