Memorandum
Attached for your approval, please find a resolution to approve a change order to the construction contract with Doan Construction Co. (RFP No. 24-05) for the 2025 Annual Sidewalk and Ramp Repair Project.

The project consists of repairing the sidewalks in approximately 20% of the City in 2025, as part of a 5-year maintenance cycle to repair the City's sidewalk system, as well as the continued replacement of sidewalk-curb ramps to meet accessibility requirements at requested miscellaneous locations throughout the City. The proposed change order in the amount of $427,339.60, includes the following additional work:

* Removal of several asphalt paths in disrepair and replacement with concrete sidewalk - $278,678.30;
* Filling the only remaining sidewalk gap on the south side of Sequoia Parkway along Hollywood Park - $51,089.14;
* Crosswalk improvement work including concrete sidewalk and ramp replacements and Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon (RRFB) foundation installations - $55,982.16; and
* Removal of concrete steps at Third & Krause - $41,590.00.

Budget/Fiscal Impact: Funding for this change order comes from the Washtenaw County Road Millage funds for asphalt path replacements, Parks & Recreation funds for the sidewalk gap infill along Hollywood Park, Major Street Fund for crosswalk improvements, and the Street, Bridge and Sidewalk Millage for Third & Krause stair removal.
